Deputy Chief Sharpless began his career with the Whitehall Division of Police in 1993. He was promoted to sergeant in 2004 and to lieutenant in 2011. He is assigned as the Administrative Bureau commander. Deputy Chief Sharpless holds a Master of Science degree in management and is a graduate of the Federal Bureau of Investigation National Academy.
