The Civil Air Patrol cadet program provides young adults (ages 12 to 19) a year round program of leadership, aerospace education, flight, physical fitness, and moral and ethical decision making. Cadets have opportunities to attend leadership encampments, career academies, and other activities during the summer. Although known for its flying missions, CAP adult members are provided with so much more than just flying. In fact less than a fifth of all CAP members are pilots or aircrew members. CAP supports a variety of missions that require adults from all walks of life. CAP also needs adults to support the cadet program in all its facets including its aerospace education program. CAP is an all-volunteer, auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force. Anyone can attend a meeting to learn more about our program. Visit oh115.ohwg.cap.gov for more information and details on our local squadron or www.gocivilairpatrol.com.
