[ARCHIVED] Whitehall Police Ask for Help in Identifying Two Speedway Gas Robbery Suspects

PRESS RELEASE 2021-005 Photo

On 3/31/21 at approximately 7:00 PM, two males entered the Speedway Gas Station, located at 1055 South Hamilton Road in Whitehall.  They loitered in the business together for approximately 40 minutes before approaching the checkout register.  Upon approaching the counter, one of the suspects pulled out a handgun and demanded money from the clerk.  After the clerk opened the cash register, the second suspect reached in and grabbed money.  They fled the business together.  The suspect with the gun is described as a black male in his 20s wearing a black and white hoodie, black jeans, white tennis shoes, and blue latex gloves.  The second suspect, who reached into the cash register, is described as a black male in his 20s wearing a black toboggan, black jacket, black jeans, and red tennis shoes.  Witnesses stated that both suspects had twists in their hair.

“We are hoping that someone recognizes these two men so we can take these dangerous individuals off the street before they hurt someone,” stated Deputy Chief Dan Kelso.

Anyone who recognizes one or both of these suspects is asked to contact Detective Lee McKittrick at the Whitehall Police Department, 614-237-6333 or email Anthony.McKittrick@whitehall-oh.us .  Tips will be held in confidence.  (Suspect pictures to follow.)
