On 6/18/19 at approximately 11:25PM, the Whitehall Police responded to the area of McAllister Avenue and Pierce Avenue on the report of a silver car that had crashed into a fire hydrant, coming to a stop in the front yard of a home. A witness reported seeing a passenger flee the vehicle and run in an eastbound direction.
Police arrived at the scene and found Michael A. Hogan Jr., age 20, of 1405 S. James Road, Columbus, Ohio, in the driver’s seat of the vehicle. Hogan had suffered at least one gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect that fled from the scene was described as a young black male, wearing a white tank top and blue jean shorts.
