[ARCHIVED] Whitehall Police Narcotics Unit Executes 4 Search Warrants on 7/23/2018

The Whitehall Division of Police Narcotics Unit along with the Columbus Division of Police InTac Unit and the Joint Eastside Tactical Response Team executed four search warrants on Monday, July 23rd, 2018 stemming from a lengthy investigation into Trafficking in Heroin and Cocaine in the City of Whitehall.
The search warrants were executed at 4709 Legare Lane Columbus, OH 43230, 1667 Minnesota Ave. Columbus, OH 43211, 1703 Blake Ave. Columbus, OH 43219 and 6796 Albany Glen New Albany, OH 43054.
Detectives seized 44 grams cocaine, 13 grams of heroin, 4 guns (1 is confirmed stolen) and $64,490 cash. Samuel Smith, age 29 and Antwain Reedus, age 30 were arrested for Possession of Drugs. They could later face indictments for Having Weapons under Disability (F-3) and Receiving Stolen Property (F-4)
The Whitehall Police Department Narcotics Unit continues its fight against drugs in and around the community. Deputy Chief Dan Kelso stated “This was an elaborate criminal operation broken up by our Narcotics Unit. These individual were flooding Whitehall and Columbus with heroin and cocaine. We remain committed to stopping criminals from bringing drugs into Whitehall”.
