[ARCHIVED] UPDATE Huntington Bank Robbery

On 6/25/18, at approximately 8:56 am, the Huntington Bank located at 4550 E. Broad St. Whitehall was robbed. The suspect entered the bank and passed a note to the teller demanding money and implied he had a gun. The teller complied and the suspect left the bank. The suspect was seen, leaving the scene, driving a black four-door sedan.

The suspect was described as a male black, mid-30’s, 5’10”, 200 lbs with a beard and sideburns. He was wearing a black baseball cap with an orange bill with the letter "B" on it, a black t-shirt with a graphic picture of two white hands with a red face or helmet, blue jeans, white and black Nike tennis shoes and sunglasses.

On 6/26/18, the Whitehall Police were called to a theft in progress. The suspect and a vehicle matched the description of the Huntington robbery suspect. A witness to the theft was able to give a license plate number and Whitehall officers located the vehicle in the area.

41-year-old Steven Middlebrooks of Mansfield, Ohio has been arrested and is charged with one count of Robbery, an F-3. Middlebrooks admitted his involvement in the robbery during his police interview. Middlebrooks was slated into the Franklin County Jail.
