[ARCHIVED] Narcotics Search Warrant Executed at 309 S. Powell Avenue

The Whitehall Division of Police Narcotics Unit along with the Columbus Division of Police InTac Unit executed a search warrant on Wednesday, June 6th, 2018 stemming from an investigation into Trafficking in Cocaine in the City of Whitehall.

Detectives seized 273 grams of cocaine, $12,670 in cash, 21 grams of marijuana and 1 loaded handgun. Richard Watts, age 40, was arrested and charged with Possession of Drugs (F-1), Trafficking in Drugs (F-4) and Tampering with Evidence (F-3). He could later be indicted on a charge of Having Weapons under Disability (F-3)

The Whitehall Police Department Narcotics Unit continues its fight against drugs in and around the community. Deputy Chief Dan Kelso stated “This is another example of a drug dealer that lived outside of the City of Whitehall but his drugs were making its way into our city. Our narcotics unit will go find dealers that bring it to the community”.
