On May 2, Whitehall Police executed a drug search warrant at 807 Westphal Ave in Whitehall. The resident and subject of the investigation, Jacob Lawrence, age 25, was not home at the time of the warrant execution but was located later the same day and arrested. Lawrence is suspected of selling drugs in and around the Whitehall area.

Police recovered 15 guns, 1,198 grams of marijuana, and an as yet undetermined amount of both psilocybin mushrooms and ecstasy pills. In addition, $1,711 of drug money was recovered. Two of these 15 guns were previously reported stolen. Lawrence has been charged with Possession of Drugs (F4) and Weapons Under Disability (F3).

“This arrest shows the correlation between drugs, drug trafficking, and violence. Because of his prior criminal history, this drug dealer is not even allowed to possess 1 gun, let alone 15. Taking dangerous individuals like this off our streets makes for a safer Whitehall and a safer society for all of us,” stated Dep. Chief Dan Kelso.
