The Whitehall Division of Police Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant on Thursday, March 16th, 2018 at 5010 Doral Ave. in Whitehall. The search warrant was the result of a month-long investigation into trafficking in drugs. Detectives seized 2,597 grams of heroin worth an estimated street value of $259,700. Detectives also recovered 415 grams of marijuana and an AK-47 rifle. Narcotics detectives arrested Manuel Espinoza-Berumen, D.O.B -7/15/1994. He was charged with F-1 Possession of Heroin and taken to the Franklin County Jail.
The Whitehall Police Department Narcotics Unit continues its fight against drugs in and around the community. “Once again our narcotics unit has kept the streets of Whitehall safe by taking a large amount of heroin off of the streets”, “This is approximately 26,000 unit doses of heroin that won’t make it out on the streets of Whitehall and Columbus tonight” stated, Deputy Chief Dan Kelso.
