The Whitehall Police Department is requesting assistance to identify a vehicle and driver from a hit-skip accident which occurred on 11/22/17. On that date, at about 7:35 p.m., a female reported to the Whitehall Police that she was struck by a vehicle while she was on the sidewalk at 38 N. Hamilton Road. The vehicle stopped a few feet away and began backing up toward the victim in what appeared to be another attempt to strike her. As this happened, her acquaintance, who happens to be a CCW permit holder, fired several shots at the vehicle. The vehicle then fled northbound on N. Hamilton Road.
Based on debris at the accident scene, the vehicle is believed to be a 2000 Ford Focus, orange in color. This vehicle would be missing the passenger side rear view mirror.
