A Message from Mayor Michael T. Bivens
When people ask me how Whitehall is making so much progress so quickly, I like to share the wonderful aspects that make our community special. We’re fortunate to have more advantages, by chance, than many other places have intentionally. Our prime location perfectly positions us to embrace the growth happening in Central Ohio, with easy access to an international airport, major interstate systems, top-notch educational institutions, and beautiful natural amenities.
It is important to note that Whitehall’s positive transformation isn’t just luck; it’s about making the most of our opportunities. Despite facing significant challenges with our inherited assets, it’s the dedication of new leaders, who reject complacency, that is allowing us to truly unlock our full potential.
Over the past decade, the city has tirelessly collaborated with numerous partners to seize these opportunities. We’ve welcomed new businesses, created diverse and inclusive housing options, invested heavily in infrastructure, and breathed new life into our recreational and outreach programs. Achieving all of this wouldn’t have been possible without the support and trust from both our leadership and the community. I sincerely appreciate your confidence in the City’s vision and capabilities.
As I embark on my role as Whitehall’s new Mayor, I eagerly anticipate the adventure that the coming years will bring. The increasing excitement with each passing year promises to make the journey more thrilling than the last.
