Your Geo Zone & Officer

Ownership

The Division of Police divides the city into eight identifiable neighborhoods or GEO areas for the purpose of crime reporting and problem solving. Patrol officers, although assigned to respond to calls in all areas of Whitehall, are assigned a specific neighborhood, or GEO area, for the purposes of problem solving and long-term quality of life issues.

Officers assigned to a specific GEO area take ownership of the problems in that neighborhood and work collaboratively with the community to resolve those concerns. At the same time, the citizens of a particular neighborhood have a face and a name of someone to call who is familiar with the specific problems in their area.
